“Great design cuts through the noise and speaks to you one on one”
I started my career in London specializing in packaging and retail design. Working at two leading agencies – Coley Porter Bell and Interbrand – I was fortunate to learn from the best in the business, at a time when British design was the height of global excellence.
Along with many British designers I moved to New York in the late 90s. Combining great design, smart strategy and consumer insights, Sterling Brands enabled me to hone my skills, and as creative director I became part of the success of many global brands.
Expanding my reach beyond CPG, my career developed to encompass corporate identity, digital media and broader branding programs. The ability to communicate a brand story effectively, expressing the positioning in a captivating way became my strong point, both as a hands-on designer and director of creative teams.
Bringing it all together in 2008, I partnered with Alan McNear and we formed Pause for Thought, where we have the agility to work across platforms and across categories. As a team we’re grounded and inspired and have a passion for thoughtful collaboration.
